Cranial treatment is the use of very gentle pressure around the head and other areas to encourage the release of tension in the body. The osteopth is trained to feel a very subtle rhythmical shape change that is present in all body tissues - this is called involuntary motion. Sometimes this can be blocked or disrupted, and the treatment aims to restore normal movement within the tissues.
